The first-ever generation of the Continental was about luxury and exclusivity. The custom build of this 1947 Lincoln Continental Convertible takes that idea and adds in a full custom build that makes it a true 1 of 1. So check out all the upgrades, including the big block power, adjustable air ride suspension, leather interior, and absolutely slick style that makes this coolest Lincoln you can get your hands on right now.

The Continental was for the true upper class. So this one only seems fitting to be finished in the kind of sleek black that belongs on a grand piano. And that same piano-like style loves to highlight the extra slick curves of this custom body. Frenched headlights, shaved door handles, sport mirrors, and deleted trim really let the light roll smoothly across the whole car. Even the rear end and hallmark continental kit has been given a custom sleek style. The unique grille, sunken hood ornament, clear headlights, shortened windshield, and integrated Cadillac-style taillights all show off an amazing amount of custom work on this metal-bodied car. So you just know this is going to take home some trophies. And if the judges were not yet impressed, you can show them how the big 20-inch wire wheels expertly tuck into the body when you lower the adjustable air ride suspension.

The black canvas lift-off top has a true cool cabriolet style, but really, this is the kind of custom that was made to be open to the world. There’s just something extra bold about red leather against black, and so this custom Continental loves to be radiant with its luxury. Details matter here, and so the black ostrich inserts in the seats match the door panels and center console. And the only thing on the ultra-smooth dash is the ultra-bright AutoMeter gauge pack. This is built with modern comfort in mind, and so you have power front seats, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, a tilt steering wheel, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for R134a air conditioning that likely just need a recharge since the vehicle has sat some recently while being in a collection.

The engine bay has a beautiful custom style where the long top piece seems to almost want to mimic the V12 style that originally powered this Continental. And while the valve covers say Lincoln, this is really a Chevy 454 cubic-inch big block V8. The low mileage on the odometer reflects since this shining motor was installed. And it has the right features, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Sanderson headers, and a dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The Th400 three-speed automatic transmission was designed to handle big block power, and this feeds a stout 12-bolt rear end. Plus, an upgraded suspension, power steering, power brakes, and Wilwood front discs make for an easy cruising custom.

There were less than 850 examples of this Continental model produced in 1947, but you aren’t even thinking about how few remain today… because this one is a true one-of-a-kind. So if you want to be award-worthy the moment you leave our showroom, call today!
